The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

Alicia goes mute after murdering her husband.  Or did she?  Is she faking?  Did someone else kill him?  Psychotherapist Theo Faber takes an intense interest in her case.  Great twist at the end.  Book was not a page turner, but it was interesting.

The Stepdaughter by Debbie Howells

Teenage girl in a small English village is found dead.  Is it related to the rumored porn production mill in the area?

When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole

Black families are being forced from their Brooklyn homes in the name of gentrification.

I really enjoyed the first 3/4 of this novel.  As a white person, it was enlightening to read about life from a black woman's POV.  Then the story became a weird conspiracy story and I didn't like that part as much.

I'm a Therapist and my Patient is Going to be the Next School Shooter by Dr. Harper

Weird, but strangely compelling, I finished this in one day.  Case files from a therapist with some, him, strange techniques.

Hush by James Patterson and Candice Fox

Latest in the Detective Harriet Blue series.  Good, but not great.  I don't love in how much detail the fights are described.

1st Case by James Patterson and Chris Tebbetts

Genious MIT dropout signs on as an FBI intern.  She might be smart, but she makes some dumb moves.  The computer technical might be interesting to someone younger, but I found it dull.
