The Wedding People by Alison Espach

Depressed Phoebe checks in to a fancy hotel where she plans to kill herself, only to find that the rest of the hotel has been rented out to a family gathering for a wedding.  A chance meeting with the bride changes things for Phoebe.

I can see myself rereading this in the future, maybe more than once.

Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel

Are we real?  Is time real?  Colonies on the moon.  The story was a bit confusing at times, but I think if I had read it in one or two sittings I would have enjoyed it even more.  I'm going to re-read some time in the future and ponder it all again.  Excellent characterization.

Anxious People by Fredrik Backman

Audio.  8 CDs.  Doesn't give length of recording.

Read by Marin Ireland.

When a bank robbery goes wrong, and a group of people find themselves hostages, everyone learns about themselves and others.

I liked all the characters and the narrator really brought the story to life.

Every Other Weekend by Zulema Renee Summerfield

Nenny's parents divorce in 1988 and this tells the tale of the following year from her point of view.  More a series of short stories than a novel proper, this is a heartbreaking account of how divorce affects children.  Every parent should have to read it.

Book #26 in 2015 (Audio)

The Opposite of Loneliness by Marina Keegan.  Read by Emily Woo Zeller.

5.5 hours.

Five days after graduating from Yale, Marina Keegan was killed in a car accident.  She left a legacy of writing, both fiction and non-fiction.  This is a collection of her stories, which are excellent.

Book #35 in 2014

Stuffology 101: Get Your Mind Out of the Clutter by Brenda Avadian and Eric Riddle.

Self-helpy decluttering book.  A bit campy at times, but very helpful.  I especially liked the idea of "temporal" clutter:  those thoughts and distractions that keep you from focusing on and achieving your goals.

I would like to re-read this in the future.
