  The best thing I can say about this is that they were short.  None were particularly suspenseful, but I did finish them.

 1960s housewife dissatisfied with her life goes on to work at the newspaper, albeit as a clerk.  When female remains are located, Maddie sets off to solve the case, and get a chance as a reporter.
