Strange woman, Dawn, goes missing and her popular co-worker, Natalie, who's been known to bully Dawn, is suspected of murdering her.
A few good twists at the end, but never really grabbed me.

Mr. Patterson takes on the true crime genre with the story of the four college students murdered in Idaho in November of 2022.
Compelling reading.

In the 1960s in Raleigh, six teenaged Black girls go missing. Sixty years later, Sydney tries to solve the crime when she learns an aunt she'd never heard of is the last of the girls to disappear.
This was a bit slow going at times, but otherwise enjoyable.

Emma announces in AP English class she plans to self-immolate. (I had to look it up. It means to burn yourself alive as a form of protest.). As the head master of the boarding school desperately tried to get her rich father to take the matter seriously, Emma begins posting her intentions on YouTube.
The story really grabbed me, but I was a bit disappointed in the ending.

A few of the characters were caricatures of evil, but I still enjoyed the story.
