Little Mercies by Heather Gudenkauf.
Veteran social worker who works with abused children, suddenly finds herself on the other side of The System when she accidentally causes her youngest child great harm.
I enjoyed this book and would probably have given it 5 stars if not for how quickly the investigation against Ellen is wrapped up.
